Of all the Seas that The World sails, few are so rich in history, culture, and breathtaking natural beauty as the Mediterranean. Beginning in late September, Residents will experience the ancient history and contemporary cosmopolitan excitement of over two dozen landings in 11 countries, on a leisurely sojourn eastward from the Strait of Gibraltar.

The first ports of call will offer immersion in the timeless desert mystique and stunning medieval and modern architecture of Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia. Oenophiles and gourmets will savor the chance to indulge in the amazing flavors of Malta, Sicily, and southern Italy. Crossing the Adriatic and back in time, Residents of The World will explore the archeological wonders of Sarandë in Albania and the fairytale charm of Kotor in Montenegro.

The Journey continues southward along the sinuous rocky shorelines of the Peloponnesus and out into the Cyclades, visiting energetic port cities and idyllic whitewashed villages in Greece and Turkey. Residents will appreciate the weathered ruins and remarkable wines of Cyprus, before stepping into the wonders of Israel’s history, stretching back to the stone age. Then the Ship will transit to the far side of the Suez Canal, where an exploration of Arabian adventure awaits in the Red Sea, and beyond.
