Pamela Conover – Chief Executive Officer

Pamela Conover is Chief Executive Officer for The World, Residences at Sea, the largest privately owned residential yacht on earth. She joined the company in 2015 and is responsible for leading the organization and managing the strategic direction of The World. This includes key assets and relevant functions such as operations, customer service, guest satisfaction, sales, marketing, and training to ensure best-in-class service delivery. Mrs. Conover also has oversight for the general care, maintenance, and upkeep of the Ship. She oversees the company’s senior leadership team, preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets and provides thought leadership about trends and relevant impacts to The World.

John McGirl – Chief Operations Officer

Mr. John McGirl is Chief Operations Officer for The World, the largest privately owned residential yacht on earth. In this role he is responsible for developing and directing strategic business plans and initiatives for Operations (Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, The World Spa & Wellness Center, Enrichment, Front Office, Guest Services, Destination Services and Administration), Integrated Programming and Port Operations both on board the Ship and in the company’s corporate office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is also responsible for maximizing Resident & Guest satisfaction, achieving operational excellence in all areas and establishing policies and procedures to ensure best practices and efficiencies.

Tami Thraum – Chief Financial Officer

Tami Thraum is Chief Financial Officer for The World, the largest privately owned residential yacht on earth.  As CFO, Mrs. Thraum is responsible for all financial operations of the company.  In her role, she also collaborates with the Senior Leadership Team on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to the overall company financial strategy including the Operating and Capital Plan.  In addition, she oversees all aspects of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management operations both on and off the Ship.

Thomas Fedoration – Vice President, Marine & Technical Operations

Thomas A. Fedoration is Vice President, Marine & Technical Operations for The World, the largest privately owned residential yacht on earth. In this position Mr. Fedoration is responsible for maintaining the safe, reliable, and environmentally sound marine, technical and medical operations of the vessel in compliance with all regulatory requirements. He is also responsible for ensuring the vessel operates at high standards, including equipment and appearance, follows a long-term maintenance program including equipment obsolescence management and strategically planned dry-docks; and works to continuously increase the focus on an enhanced safety culture and developing energy efficiencies by actively pursuing safety and environmental impact mitigation opportunities.

Camilla Solomon – Vice President, Human Resources

Camilla Solomon is Vice President, Human Resources for The World, the largest privately owned residential yacht on earth. In her role Mrs. Solomon is responsible for overseeing all human resource (HR) and training and development functions as well as a rotating global workforce of over 400 staff in the company’s Florida office and on board the Ship. Along with support from the HR team, she negotiates and manages all aspects of crew welfare and benefits, ensures maritime employment regulations and legal compliance and handles Crew logistics, visas, contracts, union negotiations, payroll, risk management, and much more.

Dag H. Sævik – Captain

Capt. Dag H. Sævik is a distinguished veteran of the maritime industry with more than 30 years of experience and has gained a high level of professional expertise based on his worldwide cruising endeavors. As Master of The World, the largest privately owned yacht on earth, he is responsible for the daily maritime operation of the Ship including the overall onboard operation of the vessel as well as the safety, comfort and well-being of all Residents, Guests and Crew. He is also involved with planning the Ship’s continuous global itinerary.

Mark Dexter – Captain

Capt. Mark Dexter has more than 40 years’ experience in the maritime industry having begun his distinguished career as a Cadet and spending the last 19 years as Master. At The World, the largest privately owned yacht on earth, he is responsible for the daily maritime operation of the Ship including the overall onboard operation of the vessel as well as the safety, comfort and well-being of all Residents, Guests and Crew. He is also involved with planning the Ship’s continuous global itinerary.

Thomas Legner – General Manager

Thomas Legner is General Manager of The World. In this role he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the entire hotel operation on the largest privately-owned residential yacht on earth. Mr. Legner directs the staff in all Hotel departments (Enrichment, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Hotel Administration, Hotel Stores, Housekeeping, Human Resources, Laundry, Retail, Sales, Spa and Sports & Fitness) to ensure the delivery of exceptional and personalized service to all Residents and Guests. He also works closely with the Captains and other executive and senior management officials.

Sandra Mooney – General Manager

Sandra Mooney is General Manager of The World. In this role she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the entire hotel operation on the largest privately-owned residential yacht on earth. Ms. Mooney directs the staff in all Hotel departments (Enrichment, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Hotel Administration, Hotel Stores, Housekeeping, Human Resources, Laundry, Retail, Sales, Spa and Sports & Fitness) to ensure the delivery of exceptional and personalized service to all
Residents and Guests. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, she also works closely with the Captains and other executive and senior management officials.

Saikumar Baddi – Food & Beverage Manager

Saikumar “Sai” Baddi is Food & Beverage Manager for The World, the largest privately owned residential yacht on earth. Mr. Baddi is responsible for the operations of all restaurants, bars, officers’ and crew mess and hotel stores. He also manages the Food & Beverage department’s recruitment, restaurant reservations, research and product development, training programs and operating procedures, and oversees dining, public health and hygiene standards. He works closely with the Executive Chef, Beverage Manager and others to bring on Guest Chefs and Wine Makers from around the world and to plan special events that ‘bring the destination alive’ for Residents & Guests.

Geoffrey Murray – Executive Chef

Geoffrey Murray is Executive Chef for The World, the largest privately owned residential yacht on earth. Chef Murray’s primary responsibilities include the management of all galley operations including provisions, inventory control, public health, quality control for the Ship’s six restaurants, and ensuring that The World’s high standards are maintained. He also oversees In-Residence Dining and a staff of more than 50.

Marinela Ivanova – Beverage Manager

Marinela Ivanova is Beverage Manager for The World, the largest privately owned residential yacht on earth. Ms. Ivanova, a certified Sommelier and a holder of DipWSET, is responsible for the beverage program on board which includes a wine list with over 1,100 labels hand-picked from 20 countries, a wine cellar with a collection of 16,000 bottles, an extensive sake selection of 44 labels, a contemporary cocktail program, and a top tier spirits selection of over 300 labels. Routed in a company-wide philosophy of delivering on each Resident’s individual preferences, Ms. Ivanova notes that The World carries the favorite wines, spirits, and sakes of every Resident. In addition to the core wine and bar programs, Ms. Ivanova and her team “bring the destination alive” for Residents by featuring destination-oriented wine lists, as well as cocktails that incorporate regional spirits and fresh ingredients discovered during her visits to local farmers’ markets.
