The World, Residences at Sea, the largest privately owned residential mega yacht on the planet, announces its return to Canada in June and July 2026. Over four weeks, the ship will devote itself to an in-depth exploration of British Columbia’s Pacific coastline, offering Residents an immersive journey to eight distinctive destinations.

• Victoria, British Columbia, is a coastal city of historic charm, stunning gardens, and vibrant culture. Residents can take the exclusive “Castles of Power, Gardens of Passion” tour of Hatley Park, Abkhazi Gardens, Government House, and Craigdarroch Castle with PhD Susan Hawkins, whose work blends regional ecology and Indigenous plant knowledge. As well as enjoy a private Ocean Sciences overview with climate scientist Andrew Weaver at ONC and IOS, exploring world-class ocean observatories and Canada’s largest marine research centers.
• Prince Rupert, British Columbia, is a coastal port city known for its deep-water harbor, Indigenous culture, and access to wilderness. • Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, is the largest Southern Gulf Island, known for its artisanal culture, scenic landscapes, and peaceful coastal waters. Residents can enjoy bioluminescent kayaking at dusk, watch glowing plankton light up the water, or join ecologist Ruth Waldick for forest exploration and hands-on wetland restoration in the Coastal Douglas-fir ecosystem. Evenings can also include a curated experience at Hastings House, combining Canadian art history with fine West Coast dining overlooking Ganges Harbour.
