The ship’s arrival in Cape Town in February follows an extraordinary expedition to Antarctica in January where Residents & Guests traced the footsteps of famed polar explorers and enjoyed numerous activities amid windswept scenery and incredible wildlife. The ship will then sail along the South African coast, spending time in Mossel Bay where Residents can snorkel among the area’s renowned marine life, before sailing on to Durban. From there, the chance to spot the native “big five” in the wild bushveld awaits at Phinda Game Reserve.
After almost two weeks in South Africa, The World will go on to traverse the turquoise seas of Africa’s east coast, stopping along the way in Mozambique, Zanzibar and Kenya before a week spent among the white sands of the Seychelles. The World shall then set its course for four months exploration of Asia, from the cosmopolitan cultural centres of Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong to the more tranquil locations of Bali and Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay.
