Navigating the Globe With Purpose and Impact
With the entire globe on our itinerary, it’s only natural that our Residents are also stewards of our Earth. As part of The World’s core philosophy, we believe in leaving places even better than when we arrived.
Making a Local Impact
Across the approximately 100 ports of call we visit each year, our Residents and Staff are encouraged to participate in locally led projects. Residents and Staff frequently encounter unique and highly extemporaneous opportunities to make big local impacts. While we sailed around Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands, one of our Residents generously donated water tanks, a pipe, and fittings for the communities on Iwa Island in the Deboyne Lagoon, which we delivered in partnership with Think Water Cairns and Bushman Tanks.
Giving Back: Supporting Communities Around The World
Whether we’re planting mangroves in Phuket or donating supplies to local villages on behalf of charities, every one of our actions is done with the intention of supporting the communities that graciously host us and gaining a richer understanding of their daily lives.
Sailing for a Cause
Even when we can’t be on the ground, we’re dedicated to giving back. By donating voyages to charitable organizations, we’re able to support high-ticket fundraising events for programs such as mental health services, early childhood education, and cancer research.
