In August, the adventure continues with the long-awaited Kimberley Expedition. As Australia’s last frontier, the Kimberley comprises vast, remote lands and truly spectacular scenery. After landing in Broome, Residents follow the path of the Aborigines, taking in boab-studded plains, magnificent waterfalls, ocher-hued mountains, and jaw-dropping gorges for an immersion in the outback like no other. 

In September, the Ship navigates east with stops in Cooktown and Cairns—with numerous opportunities to visit the Great Barrier Reef. A rare second expedition follows to the virtually-untouched Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands, where volcanic landscapes, huge lagoons, croc-infested mangroves, and emerald forests lie within. Residents then recharge in cosmopolitan Brisbane and Sydney, visiting vineyards, galleries, and national parks—and perhaps a few carefree hours taking in the sights from a local cafe.
