An Enriching Lifestyle
Enrichment is a term that is often used too casually by travel programs across the globe. Aboard The World, it has an entirely different meaning. Enrichment is seamlessly woven into almost every aspect of life – both on and off the Ship.
Whether sailing through Norwegian fjords or anchored off the shores of the most remote islands in the Pacific, the comforts of home always remain, along with ample opportunities to learn and grow.
Inspiration aboard The World also carries over into the culinary realm. World-class dining in any of six onboard dining venues is only the beginning. The Food & Beverage Team continually creates new and exciting cuisine and wine experiences that bring each destination to life. Enjoy a selection from the finest wine collection at sea – winner of The World of Fine Wine’s Best Ship Award in 2015 and 2016.
Health & Wellness
And when it comes to wellness, the options are endless. Daily exercise and yoga classes, an outdoor fitness area, golf simulator, two pools, and the only regulation-size tennis court at sea make it easy to keep up any fitness regimen. Onboard instructors and experts in golf, diving, and other areas of interest, ensure that you continue to perform your best both on and off the Ship. After a day of activity, unwind at The World’s full-service, world-class spa.
There is no experience like it anywhere else on Earth
Perhaps what sets The World apart even more is the caliber of guests and events that comprise our onboard Enrichment program. Imagine having breakfast with an explorer and documentarian who happens to be the granddaughter of Jacques Cousteau. Or hearing an onboard lecture from Reverend Mpho Tutu, activist and daughter of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Renowned experts in local and regional cultures, noted authors, diplomats, and historians are regularly onboard adding to the depth of exploration.
This extraordinary depth of enrichment is best represented in The World Nobel Laureate Lecture Series. This unique program will bring four esteemed Nobel Prize Laureates to the Ship annually, to lecture on topics in the fields of medicine, economics and science. The series will offer The World’s Residents the opportunity to personally connect with and learn from internationally-renowned Nobel Prize Laureates, such as 2014 Nobel Prize winner in Physics, Dr. Shuji Nakamura.
