FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Saikumar “Sai” Baddi is General Manager of The World. In this role he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the entire hotel operation on the largest privately-owned residential yacht on earth. He directs the staff in all Hotel departments (Program, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Hotel Administration, Hotel Stores, Housekeeping, Human Resources, Laundry, Retail, Sales, Spa and Sports & Fitness) to ensure the delivery of exceptional and personalized service to all Residents and Guests. He also works closely with the Captains and other executive and senior management officials.
Mr. Baddi is a respected and long-standing member of The World’s leadership team. He joined The World in 2008 as Relief F&B Manager and subsequently held the positions of F&B Manager, F&B Director and Senior F&B Director. During his tenure, he has introduced many of Ship’s signature dining concepts while working alongside Michelin-starred chefs and internationally recognized culinary experts, helping further elevate the Ship’s renowned culinary program.
Mr. Baddi’s hospitality career spans more than three decades, including senior positions with some of the world’s most respected luxury hospitality brands. Before joining The World, he held leadership roles with Cunard Line, where he was a member of the pre-opening teams for both Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria, as well as with Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the Taj Group of Hotels and Sheraton.
He is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Hotel Management and Culinary Arts and holds a master’s degree in F&B Management from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. His commitment to leadership excellence is reflected in executive leadership studies at Oxford University. He also completed his diploma is French language intermediate level.
Born in Hyderabad, often referred to as the Silicon Valley of India, Mr. Baddi resides in Visakhapatnam in the state of Andhra Pradesh, east coast on India. His hobbies include dancing, cooking, tasting, and studying wines, enjoying European cuisine, researching modern trends, studying international cultures and traditions, visiting farmer’s markets, and spending time with family including cycling with his daughter and playing soccer with his son.
