Vice President, Marine & Technical Operations
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Thomas A. Fedoration is Vice President, Marine & Technical Operations for The World, the largest privately owned residential yacht on earth. In this position Mr. Fedoration is responsible for maintaining the safe, reliable, and environmentally sound marine, technical and medical operations of the vessel in compliance with all regulatory requirements. He is also responsible for ensuring the vessel operates at high standards, including equipment and appearance, follows a long-term maintenance program including equipment obsolescence management and strategically planned dry-docks; and works to continuously increase the focus on an enhanced safety culture and developing energy efficiencies by actively pursuing safety and environmental impact mitigation opportunities.
Mr. Fedoration joined the organization in August 2018 as Director, Maritime Operations and was promoted to his present position in September 2019 having led the company’s Marine & Technical teams through a successful 2019 dry-dock. A highly accomplished maritime professional with extensive industry experience in passenger vessel management, he has more than 40 years’ experience in vessel operations, compliance, maintenance, voyage repairs, dry-docks, revitalizations, insurance claims and new builds. Prior to joining The World he spent over 15 years with Royal Caribbean International.
A native New Yorker, Mr. Fedoration earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York and is a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Chief Engineer (inactive). His personal pursuits include sailing, golfing, and diving.
