FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Tami Thraum is Chief Financial Officer for The World, the largest privately owned residential yacht on earth. As CFO, Mrs. Thraum is responsible for all financial operations of the company. In her role, she also collaborates with the Senior Leadership Team on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to the overall company financial strategy including the Operating and Capital Plan. In addition, she oversees all aspects of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management operations both on and off the Ship.
Mrs. Thraum is a seasoned finance executive with 20-plus years in high growth companies including private equity, private, public, Big 4 accounting environments, and luxury passenger ships. Her extensive financial background includes broad based international industry experience ranging from hospitality-passenger ship, hotel, restaurants, and travel management, consumer products, consumer services, and manufacturing. She has significant experience in leading transformation, growth, and M&A activities. She has also demonstrated success with significant strategic, operational, and financial accountabilities. Previously Ms. Thraum was CFO of Regent Seven Seas Cruises & Resorts, served as CFO/EVP for Cross Country Home Services, CFO of Carlson Wagonlit-North America, and Maritz Corporate Travel. Prior to that she was a Sr. Manager with KPMG in both the Audit & Consulting practices.
Mrs. Thraum is a Certified Public Accountant and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Missouri State University, in Springfield, Missouri where she was a Division 1 athlete. She has also received awards such as South Florida Most Influential Business Award and Stevie Award for Women in Business. In her spare time, she enjoys playing golf and tennis, working out, and spending time with her family.
