Ayn Sukhnah: 20 May 2008 to 21 May 2008

You say you’re going to Ayn Sukhnah and your friends inevitably will ask, “you’re going where?” Located about 55 km (34 mi) south of Suez, Ayn Sukhnah is not one of the better known tourist locations in Egypt It is, however, home to hot springs and some upscale summer and winter resorts.

Its beaches rival some of the best in the world, and it is an excellent place for water sports, fishing and underwater photography. Considered to be one of the most beautiful spots along the Red Sea, Ayn Sukhnah also makes a good starting point for a trip to Cairo, which is a mere two and a half hour car trip away.
