Shore Excursions - BALLOONING ABOVE THE DUNES

Float above the red dunes of the Arabian Desert this morning as dawn edges its way across the landscape. The lunar-like terrain of the rugged Hajar Mountains unfolds to the east, while the wondrously modern skyline of Dubai glitters to the west. Your balloon rises into the vast desert sky, your route determined by the whims of the wind. Don’t forget your camera!

Drive about an hour to the balloon launch site, where a briefing precedes your approximately one hour flight. Once back on terra firma, enjoy a celebratory snack and beverages at the landing site before making the return drive to Dubai. The exact flight path depends upon the wind.

NOTE: A light jacket or sweater is advised; women should wear trousers. Due to the possibility of landing in Sharjah, alcohol is not allowed.
