The Relief Editor/Assistant Editor works onboard as Editor for 2 months and Assistant Editor for 2 months.

The Relief Editor/Assistant Editor is responsible for the coordination, production and quality control of all written onboard-published communication. Through printed documents, the Relief Editor/Assistant Editor will promote the overall image of the Enrichment Department and all other onboard departments. In order to consistently exceed Resident and Guest expectations and provide the highest levels of product and services, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.


  • Minimum of 2 years experience working as an Editor, Desktop Publisher or similar position on an ultra luxury cruise ship, private club, boutique hotel, ultra luxury hotel or resort such as: Ritz Carlton, Crystal Cruises, Four Seasons, Silversea, St. Regis, etc…..
  • B.A/B.S 3-4 year degree or foreign equivalency in Graphic, Media, or Liberal Arts
  • Previous editing and writing experience in a high-volume, multi-department atmosphere
  • Excellent and in-depth computer skills to include but not limited to Windows Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) a must
  • Working knowledge of CAD, Print Technology and Graphic Design necessary
  • Previous experience in the following positions helpful:
    • Sub-Editor
    • Layout Specialist
    • Copywriter or Feature Writer
    • Desktop Publisher/Journalist
